The Culture Matters Children’s Cooking Class

TC McClain Enterprises and GGI collaborated to create a 7 week long cooking class program for children within Genesee County. During the program, children ages 8 – 15 learned valuable life skills, kitchen safety, financial literacy and healthy eating habits!

On February 19th TCM Cooking Class was highlighted in a segment on NBC 25 Flint! The creator of the program (Taylor McClain), a participant of the program and two chefs who have taught the classes (Nate Brown & Jaszmane Sisco), joined NBC 25 to showcase the skills that the children have been taught during the class!

A parent of one of the participants states that, “This opportunity for him has been so great… it [TCM Cooking Class] really refuels his passion. He’s cooking everyday all day, every time they make something he comes home and makes it all over again… it really inspires him“.
